That is some of the best advice you’ll ever get.
Life favors the doers. The people that are active and doing, have no time to hate on the next person or be negative. This is because they are too busy being actively engaged in the process of creating. In this world, you are either doing, resting, or procrastinating.
Choose Sooner Rather Than Later Every Time.
Is this an oversimplification? Maybe, but it also is very accurate. The sooner you begin a journey, is the sooner you reach your intended (or at least a desirable) destination.
You really do want to be fired up with motivation and trigger happy when it comes to life. Most of the time our problems and the source of us underachieving comes from us being too conservative. However, as Robert Greene once wrote in the 48 Laws Of Power, being bold, is normally what’s in our best interests.
By all means shoot your shot. However, know this, we human beings ideally need to be like machine guns, (metaphorically speaking of course). We need to be shooting our shot, rapid fire style. Now, to be clear, the idea is never to shoot your shot as fast as you can for speed’s sake.
Why Efficiency, Benefits Everybody.
However, the idea is to have an attitude and an intensity about our ambitiousness, to the point where we shoot our shoot the precise moment our end goal is within reach. If we must fail, we are better off failing quickly and adapting quickly. The one thing it is never a good idea to do though, is waste time.
Time is one of the most precious and finite resources that we have. Which is exactly why we need to protect our time at all costs. You are better off living your life spending time on what you love to do. As this will mean you have a (different) source of wealth that no one can take from you. Either you’ll be blessed to also have the love of a life partner, or you’ll just have the love that comes from pursuing your passions. In either scenario, you’ll always have love. Which is a both a powerful place to be and where you deserve to be.
Being clear about what you want and the terms under which you want them allows for all involved to make prompt decisions based around their various desires. This way, efficiency abounds and everybody is in a position that enables them to move forward in the best direction for them. Such a situation, is what can be described as a win/win.
The Sooner You Make That Bold Move, The Better.
Being conservative does have its place. We all want to conserve what we have. However, to get new wins, we have to do new things. Which means we need to balance being conservative, with being bold, motivated and ambitious. We have to balance our need to protect all that we have, with our need to acquire all that we can.
Whenever possible, always be earnest, in your endeavours. This way you maximise your opportunities of getting what you want. Whilst you minimise the time that you spend doing so. That, is also a win/win.
So be a go-getter, go for everything that you want (within reason) unapologetically. Forget being conservative, instead, get it over with. Never ever forget that the sooner, you start, is the sooner you finish.
