As mentioned before, we are (at least to a certain extent) what we consume online.
This means two things: that you already embody a certain amount of greatness and that you are interested in increasing your greatness. Which, is a really great place to be.
When it comes to greatness, a popular saying is that: game recognizes game. Moreover, as another saying goes, birds of a feather, flock together. All of which means that part of your job and duty to yourself is frequenting places where in your estimation, greatness likes to congregate.
The Height Of Greatness, Is Having a Dream Team.
The theory behind doing this is simple. You embody greatness which means if you go to places that you believe also embody greatness, you will (eventually) be able to organically attract further greatness.
Despite where society is nowadays, (excessively reliant on mobile phones and apps). By nature, human beings are social creatures. There is a part of all of us that needs to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. Moreover, when you making a habit of showing up in places that inspire you. That will likely also happen to be places frequented by people that inspire you. Eventually, you put yourself in position to grow your network with people who you probably share things in common with.
As another famous saying goes: if you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go with a group. When you aspire to be a greatness magnet, you consciously devote your time towards making an investment in your social life.
Your Social Life Is A Key To Levelling Up.
As mentioned in a different article, having a well balanced life is one of the ways of measuring a success that is robust and sustainable long term. At some point, it is always the goal (normally) for what we do to have a social impact.
Despite how introverted we may or may not be. Real impact, is measured by the degree to which what we do, affects others. Arguably, having a positive impact on the lives of others, is the real indicator, of true wealth.
Put a different way, the pan african concept of Ubuntu. As outlined by Mungi Ngomane in her book Everyday Ubuntu is completely accurate. Our greatness is measured by the degree to which we facilitate and empower the greatness of others.
Teamwork Does Make The Dream Work.
Now, if facilitating and empowering the greatness of others as much as we can is a major goal. The best way we can go about doing this is within the context of a team. As ever, teamwork does make the dreamwork.
Creating our own platform with which we can personally touch the world by facilitating and empowering the greatness of others, is an absolutely amazing achievement. However, creating a platform where a team characterized by greatness, facilitates and empowers the greatneas of others is the ideal that we should be working towards.
Before our work life can reflect this ideal reality. Our social life has to. Nevertheless, before this can happen, how we spend our time, has to reflect that reality. As always, how we spend our time is the ground zero, the actual starting point, that sets the foundation, that we eventually level up from.
It will by no means happen overnight. Like anything else, one step at a time is how organic growth is achieved. However, by being intentional and consistently investing our time in ways that enrich our social lives. We position ourselves to steadily grow, socially.
That growth in our social lives, is what we can then use to empower our work and business lives. That this growth is organic, authentic and genuine, bodes well for all involved.
Moreover, the fact that such relationships are mutually beneficial. Explains why these relationships should be able to grow organically.
Which Group Do You Want To Be In?
There are two types of people in this world. Those that see other people as a resource to be exploited and those that see other people as a resource to be nurtured.
The first group, (due to their perspective) are doomed to try and use as much people as they can, indefinitely. The latter group, find (infinite) value within and collaborate with others that they also see infinite value in. So as to provide infinite value, for as many people as possible.
The one thing that both groups have in common is that their goal is to touch as many people as possible. However the means, intentions and journeys of these two groups are the polar opposites of each other.
Arguably, the first group lacks balance. As they place an excessive emphasis on the financial value of other people to themselves. This perspective reduces everything to being about money and the pursuit of it.
However, with the latter group. Value is found within both the self and humanity as a whole. With the emphasis being placed on the process by which more value is created (for others) through teamwork and collaboration.
This latter group is arguably the best place to be in. We do have greatness within us. We can attract more greatness by meeting people with similar motivations to ourselves and when we work together, we can make the world an even better place.
However, for us to have the best chance at achieving the best outcome. We have to commit to making the most of the best people around us right now and always.
