Everyday when you wake up, you have one goal: to create separation.
You need to create separation from your bed and being in a state of non action and rest. You need to create separation from yesterday and your most recent accomplishments. This is because, as is often said, greatness is an everyday thing and a lifelong comittment.
Whether you were great yesterday or a had a great amount of difficulty yesterday. Today is a new day and a chance to create separation from the past, (yesterday included).
Another thing that today provides you with is a chance to create separation from the competition and more specifically, the haters.
Duality, A Part Of Life.
Life is characterised by duality, sun and rain, hot and cold, etc, etc.
One of the starkest realities of adult life is the fact that it is impossible to please everybody. No matter what stance or position you take in life. You will find yourself diametrically opposed to somebody.
No matter how positive you play it, or how positive you are. Someone is going to be against you. Somebody is going to be there to be the other side of the coin and their mission, is to stops yours.
The million dollar question here is: what is the ideal response to such a predicament? Well, as this article’s title suggests, the answer is to create separation. Actually, the first response is to ignore them.
Negativity is so toxic and poisonous, that the first you want to do with negativity, is to ignore it. As per the law of attraction as outlined in Rhonda Byrne’s classic, The Secret. Whatever we focus on and pay attention to, multiplies (as per the law of attraction).
Create Separation From Negativity With Action.
Therefore, our first step whenever dealing with negativity is to ignore it. (Or if this is impossible, to calmly listen so as to pick out the weak points of their argument). As far is humanly possible, it is always best to be calm around negativity, so as to avoid making a difficult situation worse.
After this, the next step is to create separation. Your freedom and power to act, is your saving grace. It is imperative that you use this power. It is your pathway to victory.
A lot of people like to project their truths and reality onto others. The fact that they have settled, found something impossible, or accomplished something one way. Incentivises them to project their reality onto others.
Some people are so self centered that they fervently believe that nobody else should fly higher than they have or can. However, their ego aside, nature shows us that diversity is an unspoken law of nature. None of us is a photocopy of the other and we all are blessed with unique gifts and abilities.
As a matter of fact, any competent team depends on diversity and specialisation to succeed. As it is teamwork and the different parts of a team working as a whole to achieve one goal, that makes winning possible.
Ultimately though, it is important to remember our purpose.
Our focus, instead of negativity, needs to be on our goals. Our list of things to do that will take us from where we are, to where we want to be.
If other people want to take your progress as a personal affront to them, let them have at it. You on the other hand, need to keep it impersonal. As far as your concerned, your goals and journey are your business and you have too little time, to waste it on engaging negativity.
For all you know, your next step, or the next mile is going to be the step or the mile, that makes the difference. Whatever you do, do continue to keep on going. Keep on building momentum.
Why Creating Separation Is A Must.
One of the greatest things about being on the journey towards your dreams is it allows you to create a space where you are in control of how much engagement your life has in it.
As mentioned in a previous article, a big part of being successful is having balance. More specifically, a balance between your needs as an individual and as a social animal.
Therefore you absolutely should be using your power, to toggle between decreasing and increasing the amount of (social) engagement present in your world. It is okay and actually advisable, that you listen to your needs. Interacting when you feel the need to connect and then losing yourself in your work (or play) when you feel the need to nurture yourself.
The whole point of pursuing our passions, is for us to be enriched by the journeys, that our passions introduce us to. However, pace is important. So is quality. We absolutely do have to consider, quality, pace and our big picture.
Sometimes when we do something, is just as important as what we do. The good news is we are in control of all of this and our ability to know when to do what, increases the more we spend time chasing our goals.
Ironically, as we create separation, (from our old selves) we get closer and closer to meeting our new and improved selves.
How is that for motivation, to create separation?!!
